Customs Clearance Support for Freight Shipments in Karachi

ASC Freight itself is a freight forwarder. Customs filing for our shipments is handled by our parent company, Arshad Sualeh Corporation, which is licensed by Pakistan Customs and has operated as a clearing and forwarding agent since 1988. It is ISO 9001:2015 certified and a member of FIATA, PIFFA, KCCI and LCCI, with in-house brokers filing on WeBOC and the Pakistan Single Window.

We cover the major Karachi seaport terminals, KICT, PICT, SAPT and KPT, along with Port Qasim (including QICT) and air cargo at Jinnah International Airport. Cargo for up-country importers is cleared at the port and forwarded onward where required.

Common documents include the commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading or Airway Bill, the Letter of Credit where applicable and any relevant regulatory approvals. Product-specific certificates and other supporting documents may also be requested by the relevant authorities.

Timing depends on the shipment type, the documentation provided, classification, regulatory requirements and whether the consignment is selected for examination, so no fixed time can be promised. Complete, accurate documents reviewed before arrival are the single biggest factor in avoiding delays.

Charges fall into two parts: our agency service charges for the brokerage work, and the actual government duties and taxes plus port and terminal charges payable on the shipment. The government portion depends on shipment-specific factors such as HS classification, customs value and any regulatory requirements, so we quote once we have your cargo details.

WeBOC (Web Based One Customs) is Pakistan Customs' online clearance system, used to file the Goods Declaration and to process assessment, examination and release electronically. Our in-house brokers file your declarations on it directly.

The Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is the national digital trade platform that connects traders with customs and other government agencies in one place, so permits, certificates and regulatory approvals can be applied for and processed alongside the customs declaration.
